Eric Clapton is one of the most famous guitarists in the world. He is known for hisunique style of blues guitar has earned him the nickname ”Slowhand”. He has published several successful albums, both solo success, and with the cream of the bands, the Yardbirds, and Derek & the Dominos.
Eric Clapton was born March 30, 1945 in Ripley, Surrey, England. He took the guitarat a young age and his musical prowess soon became clear. He was stronglyinfluenced by the blues, musical genres and artists across rock, blues, blues andpsychedelic rock. Clapton was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame threetimes.
Clapton began his musical career with the rock band The Yardbirds in 1963. Hesoon left the band in 1965, convinced that their sound is very pop oriented. As ablues guitarist, Clapton was comfortable with the open nature of the pop Yardbirds.
After leaving the Yardbirds, John Mayall & Bluesbreakers Clapton joined. This season has an enormous influence on him and helped him become the ultimateblues guitartist we know today. But in one year, Clapton left the Bluesbreakers toform the band Cream in 1966. At the head of Cream, Clapton began to develop his skills as a singer and composer in the management rights of the lead guitar. The best of the band was a success from the beginning, but it broke within two years in 1968.
Eric Clapton played with several bands and solo since the release of a series of albums around the covering genres from rock, blues and psychedelia. Some of his most famous songs are “Layla”, ”Tears in Heaven”, ”Crossroads”, ”Cocaine” and”Wonderful Tonight”.
